Here are the steps to put on a glueless lace wig:
-
Start by brushing your hair and securing it into a low ponytail or braid.
-
Place a wig cap on your head to cover your hair and provide a smooth base for the wig. Tip: A wig cap is not necessary If your natural hair is braided flat and the ends aren't sticking out.
-
Position the wig on your head, making sure the front hairline is aligned with your natural hairline. Low down aim for just above your eyebrows to start with.
-
Secure the wig using the thick band. Stretch the band wide a part. Pull the band over your. head, all the way to the back of your head.
-
Pull the nape of the wig to the back of your head.
-
Tuck in the wig comb under the band at the back of your head. Pull the adjustable straps in the back if needed.
-
Flip your hair back and slide the wig back to your hairline. Avoid pushing the wig too far back. If the wig isn't placed slightly in front of your natural hairline, it will may not feel as secure as it needs to be. If this happens, take the wig off and repeat the steps above.
-
Style the wig as desired and make any final adjustments to ensure a comfortable and natural-looking fit.
Remember, the lace on the wig is delicate. It's important to be gentle and not to pull or tug excessively with sharp finger nails while putting on the wig. If you're having trouble, try experimenting with different ways to ensure your natural hair is braided as flat as possible or adjusting the size of the wig for a better fit.
